The Marina Breakwater
A long rock breakwater reaches out from the shore, its tip marked by a navigation beacon that guides vessels into the Ashdod Marina. The structure tames the open Mediterranean swell, creating the sheltered water that the harbour relies on.
A City Beach on the Mediterranean
Golden sand sweeps along the southern Israeli coast, where gentle waves meet a wide public beach. Bathers, walkers and visitors give this urban shoreline its relaxed, welcoming character.
Ashdod & Its Port City
One of Israel's largest cities, Ashdod grew around its deep-water port and modern marina. The view captures the meeting of working harbour and leisure coastline that defines the city's relationship with the sea.
What to Watch For
Keep an eye on the changing rhythm of the surf, passing pleasure craft rounding the breakwater, and the steady flow of beachgoers along the sand. It is a living portrait of Mediterranean coastal life.
